Number 1 priority in birth photography is SAFETY! This includes Mum, any support person, staff and baby.
Top safety tips to consider
- Do not interfere with a medical professional doing their job
- Don't get in the way
- Keep open communication between all parties to ensure everyone is on the same page
- Do not touch anything on blue as this is a sterile environment
- Regularly sanitize hands
- Do not attend a birth if you are sick
- Move out of the way of cease photography if asked to do so by a medical professional
- Do not touch baby unless offered by Mum
- Do not discuss inflammatory topics
- Have liability insurance
